Canada’s National Women’s Team can make history with a third straight gold medal in front of a hometown crowd, but regardless of what happens on the ice, the legacy of Women’s Worlds will last beyond the gold
medal game. Proceeds from the event, including 50/50 will stay in Ontario to benefit girls’ and women’s hockey programming.
Working with the Hockey Canada Foundation Assist Fund and the Ontario Women’s Hockey Association, we are committed to leaving a lasting impact in the province that make it possible for more young girls to play the game.
With many Canadians facing financial challenges, the need for support to keep kids in hockey is real and the Assist Fund provides up to $500 per player in registration fee subsidies. To date the Hockey Canada Foundation
has handed out more than 5,000 Assists.
